Police have been brought in after a fire in York early this morning (Friday).
Firefighters were called to the incident on Melrosegate at 1.09am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a report of two mopeds on fire in a wooded area.

“On their arrival crews found that the fire was out and carried out an inspection only. The incident was left in the hands of the police.”
It is the third similar fire in few weeks. On Wednesday 19 July, a motorbike was destroyed in Hull Road Park.
And on Tuesday (29 August) a motorbike was set on fire at Birch Close, Huntington.
