Police dealt with an incident on a bridge in York this lunchtime (Wednesday).
A large emergency service response was mobilised to Ouse Bridge.
Fire and ambulances were in attendance, and two fire boats along with York Rescue Boat were in the water.




The cause of the incident was a man who is on the wrong side of the bridge.
The incident is now over and the bridge has reopened.
We understand that it has been brought to a safe conclusion, and the man is in the care of ambulance crews.
