Police cordoned off an alleyway in the centre of York after a man was spotted on the roof this morning (Friday).
Officers were called to the incident in Peter Lane. It was taped off but is now open again.
Two fire crews, including the aerial platform, were also called to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were contacted at 8.20am this morning by a member of the public who reported a man on a roof of a building in Peter Lane, York.
“The man made his own way off the roof unhurt. No arrests were made.”
