Police are hunting for this man.
He is Sam Mason, 30, from York. Mason was originally sentenced in October 2015 for robbery and was released on licence in May 2018.
The York Press reported how Mason held up a city bookmakers at knifepoint.
He entered the Coral bookmakers in Beckfield Lane, Acomb, on June 30, 2015, where a woman was working alone.
The robbery was interrupted by another customer and he fled the scene.
Mason, then living on Escrick Street, was sentenced to four years and four months in prison for the attempted robbery.
But after being released in May he breached the licence conditions and is wanted for recall to prison.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Anyone who thinks they might have seen Mason, or who has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.”
