Police hunt for driver who ran off after crash in York
Police are hunting for a driver who ran off after a two-car collision in York.
The crash happened just before 3pm yesterday (Wednesday) on Wigginton Road opposite York Hospital, and involved a white Ford Fiesta and a red Toyota Aygo.
The man driving the Aygo was taken to hospital for a check-up.
The male driver of the Fiesta made off on foot towards Belgrave Street without exchanging details with the other party.
Police are appealing for a key witness to come forward. They were standing at the bus stop but did not catch a bus. They then walked towards the city.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver of the Fiesta. He is described as white, tall and wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark hooded top.
