Police confront two teenagers on stolen moped in York

Two youths were spotted by police on a stolen moped in York.
Officers from the York Outer Neighbourhood Policing Team confronted the pair on Invicta Court, Foxwood, at 11.05pm on Friday (30 December).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The youths abandoned the moped and fled the scene. The moped had been stolen from the Clifton area on Christmas Day.

“We are appealing for any CCTV, doorbell or dash-camera footage from residents of Foxwood, Dringhouses and Woodthorpe that captured two youths riding a grey moped and/or two youths running from the direction of Invicta Court around the time in question.”
The youths are believed to be aged between 15 and 17 years old and were wearing dark clothing.
