Police have been called in after a car fire in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Firefighters were called to the incident in Acomb at 1.46am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The Acomb crew responded to a vehicle fire which was out prior to their arrival after it had failed to spread.
“Crews inspected the vehicle with a thermal imaging camera to check for any further fire spread.
“The interior of the vehicle was only partially damaged and the incident was left with the owner to liaise with police and investigate further.”
