Police appeal after violent incident at York pub

Violence broke out in a York pub at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses to what they described as a ‘violent altercation’ involving several people at the Clockhouse pub on Kingsway West on Saturday (11 September).

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.

“Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances.”
