This striking image shows the York Vaccination Centre as never seen before.

The drone image shows the tented health hub glowing as a beacon in the darkness, to mark the first anniversary of the first lockdown last night (Tuesday).

Health workers and volunteers gathered outside the centre to mark the milestone.

It was one of a number of organisations to illuminate their buildings for the anniversary.

City of York Council lit the city walls in the yellow and blue colours of St Leonard’s Hospice. It was to remind residents of the bereavement support available, as the hospice created a time capsule of memories for their garden.

York St John University was also illuminated, as was Selby Abbey.
