A pedestrian had to be taken to hospital after a collision with a car in the centre of York yesterday (Monday).
It happened around 2.30pm on Clifford Street.
The pedestrian and a small white car were in collision.
The car stopped but the driver did not exchange details with the pedestrian, and then drove off.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital to have treatment for minor injuries, and was released later.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”
