Police are investigating an allegation of assault which took place in broad daylight on a busy York street.
It happened at about 3pm last Wednesday (14 August) on Ouse Bridge.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said a woman of Asian ethnicity was walking towards the city centre from Micklegate when she felt damp on her neck and shoulder.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It was identified that a female passenger of this vehicle has been responsible and unclear if she has spat or squirted liquid.
“Were you present and witnessed the incident or do you recognise the vehicle?”
