Fire broke out in a York home early this morning (Saturday).
Crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of a house fire in Rawdon Avenue at 5.05am.
Firefighters found the living room well alight. Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire, which destroyed the living room and caused heat and smoke damage to much of the rest of the house.
One person taken to hospital by ambulance due to smoke inhalation.
Fire investigation officers have yet to determine what started the blaze.
