A man has been arrested after a police community support officer was threatened with a knife and had his bike stolen.
The 29-year-old York was arrested on suspicion of robbery in Disraeli Close, Huntington at around 6.15pm on Wednesday (March 29). He remains in police custody.
The stolen cycle was recovered earlier the same evening.

‘Do not approach this man’ – Knife-wielding robber steals bike from police support officer
Police have issued a warning to the public not to approach a man who robbed a police community support officer at knifepoint.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Wednesday (March 29).
A York PCSO was threatened by a man with a knife on Crombie Avenue before he stole his police cycle.
The suspect was last seen on Wigginton Road.
Have you seen him?
He was wearing dark clothing and officers are carrying out searches of the area to locate him.
Members of the public are asked to contact the police if:
- they have seen a man on a police cycle wearing dark clothing
- they find an abandoned police cycle.
A police spokeswoman said: “Please do not approach the man.
Instead, call 101, or 999 if you have an immediate sighting.
