Students at Norton College have got together to release their own Christmas Album and many of the tracks featured are original work too. It has been produced as a replacement for the annual concert which can’t go ahead because of covid restrictions.
Sixth Form student Callum Russell was asked to record the album. He arranged to get the talented students to perform their tracks in settings that me social distancing guidelines.
It’s hoped that the album will raise funds for the college music department and spread a bit of Christmas cheer.
Head of Music Victoria Briggs said ‘It is amazing to see students doing what they love, even in difficult circumstances where we can’t have a concert. We can’t wait to see the parents and public’s response to the album and any streams and listens will be greatly appreciated.”
It will be available on all streaming and online services and it is due for full release over the next few days and you can find out more about how to get a copy here
