Passengers on board a Whitby bus endured a nightmare journey due to two vodka-swigging couples’ abusive behaviour.
It happened on the X93 Whitby to Middlesbrough bus on Saturday 1 July, from about 12.50pm.
Two couples on the top deck were drinking vodka and shouting abuse at each other, their young children and other passengers.
This included racially-aggravated abuse, and continued throughout the journey.
Police are classing the incident as a hate crime and are appealing for the public’s help to find the two couples.
The couples are described as white, two men and two women, aged about 30-35 years old. The children they were travelling with were about 8 and 9 years old.
