New shop opening on Stonegate
Just as we’re all thinking about holidays again, a new travel agents is opening in York.
Trailfinders is due to open soon on Stonegate.
The shop is moving in to the unit last occupied by the Body Shop, which closed for good last July.
Trailfinders was founded in 1970 by former SAS officer Mike Gooley with a staff of four.
The company remains privately owned but today has a staff of more than 1,000 and has made travel arrangements for 16 million people.
It’s York store will be the 32nd in the UK.
Trailfinder’s website says: “As the pioneers of tailor-made travel we believe there’s no substitute for one-on-one, bespoke service.
“Our travel consultants have between them travelled to over 96% of the world’s countries.”
