Neighbours helped to save the day after fire broke out in a York home last night (Tuesday).
A fire crew from Acomb was called out to the fire on Almsford Drive at 8.23pm.
It was in the garage of a house on the street.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire had swiftly been extinguished by neighbours using a hosepipe.
“The fire involved two fridge freezers, believed to have been caused by an electrical fault. Minor damage caused only.”
