It’s an epic opera, with big sets, amazing effects and huge tunes – the most famous being the Chorus Of The Hebrew Slaves.

And when Verdi’s Nabucco comes to the Grand Opera House next week, you could be in the best seats in the house, courtesy of the theatre and YorkMix.

Not only that, you could be the proud owner of a signed, limited edition Ralph Steadman print, worth £300.

We have teamed up with the Grand Opera House to offer the lucky winner of our competition two tickets to Ellen Kent’s lavish production of Nabucco on Friday, March 7 at 7.30pm.

Featuring the Chisinau National Opera and National Philharmonic with international guest soloists, this powerful tale is laced with revenge, destruction and jealousy.

Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco.

It promises to be an unforgettable night. And you’ll always have a souvenir of the evening – a limited edition Nabucco print by internationally acclaimed artist Ralph Steadman.

Many of his stunning opera illustrations were created for Ellen Kent or for Harry Enfield’s Guide to Opera in the 1990s. Please visit the artist’s website for more information about him and his work.

This beautiful print is A2 in size and is part of a limited edition run.

Worth £300, it is printed on Museum Quality Smooth Rag – the paper which Ralph himself draws his originals on – and will be signed by Ralph himself.
