A moped rider has been taken to hospital after a crash on the York outer ring road.
It happened at 8.06am today (Thursday, October 19) near the roundabout which joins the A1237 with the A59 at Upper Poppleton.
It is believed the black Honda moped was overtaking a line of stationary traffic when the collision occurred with a white and blue Scania HGV.
The rider, a 19-year-old man from York, was taken by ambulance to York Hospital with leg injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The scene was clear by 9.30am.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
