A man was seriously injured after being attacked in Northallerton.
The assault happened around 3.15am on Sunday 17 April on Elder Road.
The victim, a 20-year-old man from the town, was left with lacerations to his face and a fractured eye socket.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on conditional bail.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are requesting anyone who was in the area at the time who saw the assault to contact them, so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident.
“They would also like to hear from anyone who may have capture dash cam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.”
