A man was injured after his car crashed into a ditch near York.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Elvington at 8.48pm last night (Saturday).
Fire crews from York and Acomb found that a Peugeot 306 had left the road, crashed into a ditch and ended up on its side.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews gained access via the boot to release a 26-year-old male driver who was able to self extricate.
“He suffered bruising and was taken to hospital to via road ambulance. Lighting and IEC (immediate emergency care) kit used at the incident.”
