A man was attacked in York city centre and police are seeking a key witness.
It happened on the junction of Davygate with New Street at 1am on Monday, 31 August.
A man was approached by another man who punched him. The victim has was left shaken and sustained bruising to the face.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information from a taxi driver who dropped off a number of men at this location, one of whom went onto to commit the offence.”
