A man was rescued from the river in York in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Emergency services were called out at 4.53am.
A man was in the Ouse close to Scarborough Bridge.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews were mobilised to a report of a male in the river.
“Crews assisted to recover male from water and handed into care of paramedics.”
The York Rescue Boat was also involved. The team said: “Called out by North Yorkshire Police to reports of a person in the water near Scarborough Bridge in York.
“Person rescued by the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service boat crew and transferred into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
“Our boat was stood down before launch.”
