A police investigation is underway after a woman was hurt at an incident at a holiday park near York.
It happened at about 11am today (Wednesday) at Hollicarrs Holiday Park, which is in the grounds of the Escrick Park Estate south of the city.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended a property at the Hollicarrs Holiday Park at about 11am today, to investigate reports of an assault.

“Inside, they located a woman in her 70s who had been injured. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“A man in his 80s was arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries into the incident are at an early stage, and are ongoing.”
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was also called to the scene.
