A man has appeared at court following a 24 minute police pursuit in the York and Selby areas.
John Leonard Frame, aged 40, of Victoria Road, Scarborough, was arrested at 1.45am on Monday (June 11) after a blue Ford Galaxy people carrier was forcibly stopped by a tyre-bursting stinger device and a police vehicle.

The pursuit began at the Fulford interchange in York at 1.21am and ended on Hillam Common Lane in Selby.
A police helicopter assisted the operation.
Following questioning in custody, Frame was charged and appeared at York Magistrates’ Court in relation to:
- taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent from Scarborough
- dangerous driving on the A64, A19, B1222 and A63
- driving while disqualified
- and driving without insurance.
The case has been committed to York Crown Court on July 3. Frame was remanded in custody.
They should learn to write facts and not the rubbish they have!!!!
