Police are hunting a man who grabbed a boy by the throat in York.
The attack happened in New Earswick at about 3.10pm to 3.20pm on Wednesday, 14 September.
The man assaulted the 11-year-old boy on Alder Way between Conifer Close and Spruce Close.
The scene of the assault
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A man is believed to have grabbed an 11-year-old boy by the throat before leaving the scene on a bicycle.
“Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, including CCTV or dashcam footage in the area which may have picked up the incident or the suspects.”
The suspect is described as
- white
- in his late 20s to early 30s
- around 6ft tall
- with a shaved/ bald head
- and a short dark beard.
He rode a grey bike and potentially had an over-the-shoulder JD-style bag.
