Police are appealing for witnesses after an argument between a group of people ended up with one man in hospital.

Shortly before 8pm on Thursday (January 19), what officers are describing as ‘an altercation’ tool place between a group of people on Coney Street, York.

During the incident, which involved a group of men and women, a man in his early fifties sustained cracked ribs. He had to go to York Hospital for treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police. Dial 101, press 1 and ask to speak to PC Daniel Kirven or email [email protected]
