Wednesday update: Another 111 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

A further 111 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Wednesday, 10 November).

That takes the cumulative case total to 26,577 – giving an overall infection rate of 12,595 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 800 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 105 (11.6%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 373.9 new cases per 100,000 people (789 cases in the week to 6 November). That’s down from 440.3 in the previous seven days (929 cases in the week to 30 October).

The English national average is 356.1, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 370.4.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 10 November).

There was one coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 691 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There were eight coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 31 October, and 78 patients in hospital on 2 November.
