The Cumming family from York were among those to greet the King outside York Minster this afternoon.
Son Justin shook the royal hand. “It was just amazing,” he said.
His mum said: “We’re doing lots of fun things in the local area today. So seeing the king was a real bonus.
“We didn’t expect to get so close to him. For Justin, shaking his hand was a real bonus for the day.”
