Two cyclists taken to hospital after serious accident near Strensall barracks

Two cyclists have been taken to hospital after an accident on Strensall Road this morning (Saturday).
They were in collision with a car near to the army barracks. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene. It took a male casualty to hospital, and a woman was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
The road is closed as investigations continue.
Bus services have set up diversions.

We are providing a shuttle service between Huntington Avon drive and Strensall via the A64 and Flaxton. 🚌
This will be a 40 minute service to allow access to Strensall.

Due to the Road Traffic Accident near Strensall Camp, the road has been closed and is expected to be for up to 4 hours. Service 5 will be terminating at Avon Drive until further notice.
