Tuesday update: Five more Covid deaths at York trust hospitals

There is no data today for the number of new cases at local authority level.

According to the government: “Because of a technical issue, it has only been possible to update figures for cases for England (nation) by report date.

“Case metrics by specimen date for England and for English regions and local authorities will be updated in the next release.”

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 251.2 new cases per 100,000 people (530 cases). It was 272 yesterday.

The English national average is 214.8, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 217.6.

There have been three coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (down one). The total number of deaths in the city is 479.
