There have been another five cases of coronavirus confirmed in York today (Thursday, 15 April).
That takes the cumulative total to 12,174 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,780.1 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 22 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down two (-8.3%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 10.9 new cases per 100,000 people (23 cases in the week to 11 April). That’s down from 11.4 in the previous seven days (24 cases in the week to 4 April).
The English national average is 28, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 61.2.
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area today, and none in the last seven days (down one / 0%).

In North Yorkshire, there were 20 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 29,502 – an infection rate of 4,773.4 cases per 100K.
There are 1,872 cases in Ryedale (up two), 4,905 in Selby (up three), 7,617 in Harrogate (up nine), 4,179 in Hambleton (no change), 5,531 in Scarborough (up three), 2,611 in Richmondshire (up one) and 2,787 in Craven (up two).
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
