Sunday update: York coronavirus rate reaches 46 – after rise in cases

A further 18 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 13 June).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,608 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,986.2 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 137 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 73 (114.1%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 46.1 new cases per 100,000 people (97 cases).

The English national average is 63.9, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 69.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (as at 13 June).

In North Yorkshire, there were 27 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,694 – an infection rate of 4,966.2 cases per 100K.

There are 1,908 cases in Ryedale (no change), 5,334 in Selby (up nine), 7,899 in Harrogate (up eight), 4,290 in Hambleton (up three), 5,665 in Scarborough (no change), 2,682 in Richmondshire (down one) and 2,916 in Craven (up eight).

NHS England no longer issue updates on deaths in hospitals at the weekend.

There were no coronavirus patient admitted to the trust on 6 June, and two in the previous seven days.
