Sunday update: Two more coronavirus deaths in York NHS Trust
Another two coronavirus deaths were confirmed in the York NHS Trust today (Sunday, 22 November).
And a further 40 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York.
This takes the cumulative total to 5,452 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,588.6 cases per 100,000 people.
Due to the adjusted count methods, in the last seven days 947 positive Covid-19 tests have been added to the total in York – a rise of 594 (168.3%).
The latest validated data shows a seven-day rolling rate of 166.2 new cases per 100,000 people in York, as at 16 November.

In North Yorkshire, there were 124 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 12,499 – an infection rate of 2,022.3 cases per 100K.
There are 667 cases in Ryedale (up six), 1,965 in Selby (up 27), 3,409 in Harrogate (up 28), 1,613 in Hambleton (up 15), 2,710 in Scarborough (up 38), 913 in Richmondshire (up four) and 1,222 in Craven (up six).
There were two more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. At weekends we can’t check whether they were at York or Scarborough Hospital.
That takes the total at 271.
