Sunday update: Seven more coronavirus cases in York – five in North Yorkshire

A further seven coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 30 May).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,407 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,890.8 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 46 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 22 (91.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 18.5 new cases per 100,000 people (39 cases).

The English national average is 25.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 37.2.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days.

In North Yorkshire, there were five new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,260 – an infection rate of 4,895.2 cases per 100K.

There are 1,894 cases in Ryedale (no change), 5,226 in Selby (up one), 7,761 in Harrogate (up one), 4,239 in Hambleton (up three), 5,631 in Scarborough (no change), 2,653 in Richmondshire (no change) and 2,856 in Craven (no change).
