Sunday update: Another 128 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

Another 128 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 12 December).

That takes the cumulative case total to 30,453 – giving an overall infection rate of 14,431.9 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 990 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 230 (30.3%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 420.4 new cases per 100,000 people (887 cases in the week to 8 December).

The English national average is 507.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 359.6.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 12 December).
