Sunday update: 99 new coronavirus cases confirmed in York

A further 99 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 10 October).

That takes the cumulative case total to 22,824 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,863.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 533 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 19 (-3.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 227.9 new cases per 100,000 people. The English national average is 341.3, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 414.2.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and one in the last seven days (as at 10 October).

NHS England does not release figures for coronavirus-related deaths in hospital trusts at weekends.

There were eight coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 3 October, and 38 in the previous seven days (up seven).
