Saturday update: York coronavirus case rate falls below 200

A further 59 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 18 September).

That takes the cumulative case total to 21,322 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,104.6 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 375 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 105 (-21.9%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 183.9 new cases per 100,000 people (388 cases).

The English national average is 274.4, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 325.9.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and none in the last seven days (as at 18 September).
