Saturday update: Another coronavirus death in York as 97 more cases confirmed
A further 97 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 21 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 19,349 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,169.6 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 693 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 31 (4.7%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 318.5 new cases per 100,000 people (672 cases in the week to 17 August).
The English national average is 314.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 368.5.
There was one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 21 August).
