Saturday update: 22 more coronavirus cases in York

Another 22 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Friday, 27 November).

That takes the cumulative total to 5,612 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,664.5 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 200 positive Covid-19 tests in York – a decrease of 759 (79.1%) week on week.

The latest validated data shows a coronavirus rate in York of 126.8 in the seven days to 22 November.

In North Yorkshire, there were 116 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 13,134 – an infection rate of 2,125.1 cases per 100K.

There are 720 cases in Ryedale (up 13), 2,085 in Selby (up 21), 3,536 in Harrogate (up 22), 1,696 in Hambleton (up 11), 2,846 in Scarborough (up 27), 968 in Richmondshire (up five) and 1,283 in Craven (up 17).

There were three more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. At weekends we can’t determine whether they were in York or Scarborough Hospitals

That takes the total to 291.
