Saturday update: 13 new coronavirus cases across York and North Yorkshire

There were six coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Saturday, 10 April).

It takes the cumulative total to 12,162 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,774.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 20 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 15 (-42.9%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 11.4 new cases per 100,000 people.

The English national average is 30.1, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 66.6.

There were no more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area today, and one in the last seven days (no change).

In North Yorkshire, there were seven new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 29,376  – an infection rate of 4,753 cases per 100K.

There are 1,857 cases in Ryedale (up one), 4,871 in Selby (up four), 7,584 in Harrogate (up one), 4,171 in Hambleton (down two), 5,512 in Scarborough (up one), 2,602 in Richmondshire (up one) and 2,779 in Craven (up one).

There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. The last death was on Thursday, 8 April.

That leaves the total at 585 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
