Road closure causes major traffic problems across York
The closure of Wigginton Road this morning has created serious traffic problems across the city centre.
As at 10.15am there was congestion:
- On Clifton and Bootham
- On Gillygate and Lord Mayor’s Walk
- On Burton Stone Lane
- On Monkgate
- On Station Road.
Most routes around the city centre are busy, and the Northern section of the outer ring road near Clifton Moor is very slow too.
