Police and firefighters called out to help in river rescue
Emergency services have been involved in a river rescue this evening.
They were called to the River Foss in York.
There aren’t many details, but York Fire Station manager Bob Hoskins tweeted:
This evening a crew from #York was called to the #Foss to assist @NPTYorkcity in a potential rescue.
Can I remind people to take care near water✅
Know were safety equipment is located.✅
If you see someone in trouble notify the emergency services✅
