Draught beer – out of the rain?

No wonder there were smiles on the faces of some of York’s first pub and restaurant customers today.

There are still rules of course. They are:

  • venues can offer indoor drinking and dining for groups of six people or two households
  • when not seated, for example while being shown to the table or going to the toilet, customers will need to a wear face covering
  • it is table service only
  • all customers must now check-in under test and trace rules
  • outside, people will be able to meet in larger groups in beer gardens or when dining al fresco – with up to 30 people.
