Monday update: Two more coronavirus cases confirmed in York

Two more coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 10 August).

That takes the cumulative total in the city to 931 – giving an infection rate of 442 cases per 100,000 people.

In North Yorkshire there were five new cases, taking the total to 2,606 – an infection rate of 421.6 cases per 100K.

There are 137 cases in Ryedale (up one), 323 in Selby (no change), 737 in Harrogate (up one) and 563 in Scarborough (up one).

There are no more coronavirus related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – the total remains at 214. The last death recorded within the trust was on 18 June.

The total includes 134 in York Hospital and 80 in Scarborough.
