Monday update: More than 20,000 people in York have now had coronavirus
A further 58 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 30 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 20,055 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,504.2 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 559 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 98 (-14.9%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 279.1 new cases per 100,000 people (639 cases).
The English national average is 319.9, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 353.7.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 30 August).
