Monday update: Daily coronavirus cases fall below 100 for the first time in two months

A further 99 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 14 February) – the first time the daily count has fallen below 100 since Saturday 4 December.

That takes the cumulative case total to 53,140 – giving an overall infection rate of 25,183.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 1,139 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 812 (-41.6%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 694.7 new cases per 100,000 people (1,466 cases in the week to 10 February).

The English national average is 665.3, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 532.3.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 14 February).
