Another 74 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 27 September).
That takes the cumulative case total to 21,950 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,402.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 498 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 119 (31.4%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 226.1 new cases per 100,000 people (477 cases in the week to 23 September). That’s up from 173.9 in the previous seven days (367 cases in the week to 16 September).
The English national average is 313.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 395.3.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 27 September).
