Monday update: 33 new coronavirus cases in York and North Yorkshire

Another 15 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 31 May).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,422 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,897.9 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 57 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 31 (119.2%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 19 new cases per 100,000 people (40 cases).

The English national average is 27.2, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 36.8.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days.

In North Yorkshire, there were 18 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,278 – an infection rate of 4,898.9 cases per 100K.

There are 1,894 cases in Ryedale (no change), 5,228 in Selby (up two), 7,767 in Harrogate (up six), 4,242 in Hambleton (up three), 5,638 in Scarborough (up seven), 2,653 in Richmondshire (no change) and 2,856 in Craven (no change).
