Lots of military pomp and pageantry in York today (Thursday), to mark the Queen’s accession to the throne.
The British Army will sound a 21-gun salute in Museum Gardens at noon today, after a parade through the city with the band from Catterick garrison.
Here are the timings if you want to go along:
10:45am – band starts to march through streets
11:30am – band marches into Museum Gardens
11:40am – guests arrive at Yorkshire Museum
12:00pm – Royal Salute
12:05pm – National Anthem
12:20pm – guests depart while band continues playing
12:30pm – event finishes.
